Well, you may remember a while ago I mentioned that I have joined a cover band.
So far I have played 3 gigs with them in rural NSW and am a lot more confident with playing Bass again and getting my head around the 50 odd songs that are in the repertoire.
Well, next week I play my first gigs in Canberra.
And, well, if you’re free, you’re invited!
The first is at the Lighthouse (Sails, for you oldies) in Belconnen on Friday the 9th of November.
The second is at the Holy Grail in Kingston on Saturday the 10th of November.
2 big gigs. 2 big nights! Bring your friends. Bring your dancing shoes and your voiceboxes and help me sing along 
We are called The Drop Bears. We have a MySpace page with our details, set lists and upcoming gigs.
We are available for parties, weddings, bar-mitzvahs, anything!

Also, I recall there was a Sydney band in the 80′s called Dropbears which had some small success (well enough to be on Rage … I just found a video of Funlovin’ on YT).

There’s a list on the Myspace page, but basically it’s your standard commercial rock. Acca Dacca to Hunters, Green Day to Pearl Jam, Bryan Adams to Proclaimers. Just stuff that everyone knows.
