That’s what I think of Roadshow Film Distributors and the Weinstein Company who have:
a) delayed the release of the Rodriguez/Tarantino Film Grindhouse until later in the year in Australia (was supposed to be May. It’s already OUT in the US)
b) split the double-feature into 2 separate films with each film being released at DIFFERENT TIMES.
Shit! Wasn’t the whole point of this movie that it was a DOUBLE-FEATURE. I am sooo looking forward to it.
Apparently in some states in the US, people actually got up and left after the first movie cause the credits started rolling. Stupid Americans spoil it for us all.

What a load of shit. Just because some countires don’t know the concept doesn’t mean they can’t learn something NEW.

I have a good mind to go to Hoyts in Belconnen and ask for their HUGE Grindhouse cardboard display, seeing as though they don’t need it now. It’s friggin’ awesome.

Damn. Reading this has just put seeing this as a double feature as a much higher priority to-do when I get topside. Hopefully it’s still playing when I get there.

Oh, I didn’t realise it was a double, I just assumed Grindhouse was one film. Why would they do that? Make more money out of us? Bah.

Saw it 12/04/07 here (Toronto) …wickedly excellent films!
Even the intermission was incredibly great!
Too bad you won’t get to see the two @ once.

Aly – Yeah, I think lots of yanks thought it was one film too and left after the first one! They even have fake trailers in between the films! Weinstein is a money greedy bum. He split Kill Bill as well (although that actually worked out ok cause QT made the movies longer)
